  • McClatchy, a more than 100-year-old news service, has filed for bankruptcy. But the embattered company may be better off going private than staying public, Nieman Lab’s Newsonomics writes (Nieman Lab)
  • The Knight Foundation committed $2 million to a new initiative to help newsrooms adopt new publishing platforms. The initiative aims to help nonprofits and newsrooms serving under-covered communities maximize their audience revenue (Knight)
